Author, Nurse, Activist

Ashley Grogg, MSN-RN, BC-FMP, is a nurse, educator, and reformer with a fierce devotion to integrity in healthcare. Born and raised on a family farm in rural Indiana, Ashley learned early that hard work, faith, and personal responsibility weren’t just values, they were a lifestyle. After watching her own family navigate severe health crises with vastly different outcomes, she made a vow: every patient would be treated like family.
Ashley spent over a decade in acute care and the insurance industry, excelling in patient education and outcome improvement. As medicine shifted toward protocols and profit margins, she grew heartbroken, witnessing how profits exceeded patient well-being and safety. In 2018, she walked away from traditional healthcare and founded Wellness Through Awareness, a private consulting practice that empowers individuals to reclaim their health through informed decision-making, education, and personalized support.
Today, Ashley is a bold advocate for transparency, patient rights, and ethical reform. Her work in grassroots policy reflects a deep belief that everyday citizens, especially nurses, are the key to transforming broken systems. She speaks with the clarity of a clinician and the courage of one unbound from earthly fears.
Ashley lives in Indiana with her husband, Charles, and their four daughters, whom they homeschool with the same conviction she brings to every part of her life: that faith, truth, liberty, and compassion will always matter.
Authoring Resuscitating Nursing is her charge to the brave, those willing to reject complacency, lead with conviction, and breathe life back into the heart of nursing.
